KES^® Science & Technology (KES) has provided the highest quality perishable preservation equipment to the supermarket, food distribution and floral industries since 1984. Founder John J. Hayman Jr. started the original KES Irrigation as a regional irrigation design consulting and distribution company and grew it into the world leader in automatic produce misting. 

With national grocery chain customers like Kroger, Safeway and Albertson’s, and business spreading overseas, the company began to diversify. John J. Hayman III joined KES in 1994 and helped develop innovative technologies like reverse osmosis water filtration for produce misting systems, service case and cold storage humidity systems and eventually the NASA-developed AiroCide^® technology, a unique and patented airborne contamination control device.

Today KES provides its AiroCide PPT air purifying technology, as well as produce misting related equipment, to food, beverage and floral markets all over the world through its network of distribution partners.
